Skyler Agar Rancho Mirage, CA — San Pedro Mourns 24-Year-Old After Fatal Crash
A deep sense of grief is spreading through San Pedro following the tragic and sudden loss of Skyler Agar, a 24-year-old man who died in a fatal crash early Tuesday morning in Rancho Mirage, California.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. along Highway 111 near Indian Trail. Investigators say Skyler was driving when his vehicle struck a light pole with severe force, causing catastrophic damage. The impact also damaged the historic Elephant Car Wash sign, a long-standing landmark in the area.
Authorities confirmed that Skyler was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash led to the temporary closure of westbound Highway 111 between Rancho Las Palmas Drive and Indian Trail for several hours, resulting in significant traffic delays as crews worked at the scene and traffic lights in the area were placed on red flash.
The investigation is being handled by the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station Collision Reconstruction Team. Officials have not yet determined the cause of the crash, and inquiries are ongoing as they work to establish what led to the fatal impact.
