The Kansas community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jack Fleischaker, a 19-year-old freshman at Kansas State University whose life was tragically cut short following a fall from a fraternity house window in Manhattan. Originally from Overland Park, Jack was a graduate of Blue Valley Northwest High School and had recently begun his studies in finance at K-State. He was known as a driven and thoughtful student who approached his education with purpose and enthusiasm, building connections and embracing new opportunities during his first year on campus.
Jack was also an active member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, where he served as philanthropy chairman. In that role, he helped organize charitable initiatives and contributed to causes that reflected his caring and community-minded nature. His fraternity brothers remember him as loyal, kind, and always willing to support others.
According to authorities, the incident remains under investigation by the Riley County Police Department. Emergency responders transported Jack to Stormont Vail Hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries. As loved ones come to terms with this devastating loss, Jack is being remembered for his warmth, leadership, and the bright future he carried.
