Authorities in Phoenix are investigating a crash after a pickup truck slammed into the front of a residential property early Wednesday morning near 13th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded just before 5 a.m. on April 29 to reports of a vehicle crashing into a home in the area. When they arrived, they found a white pickup truck that had driven into the building. The driver was still inside the vehicle at the time of emergency response and was later taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Fortunately, no one inside the home was injured during the incident, though the crash caused visible structural damage to the front of the property.
Police have not yet released the identity of the driver. However, investigators say impairment is believed to be a factor in the crash. Any potential charges will be determined once the investigation is completed.
Authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident as the neighborhood recovers from the shock of the early morning crash.
