A quiet neighborhood in Glendale, Arizona, was disrupted early Thursday morning after a shooting left two men injured, according to police.
Officers responded just before 4 a.m. on April 30 to reports of multiple gunshots near 59th and Maryland avenues, triggered by a ShotSpotter alert and several emergency calls. When police arrived at the scene, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where authorities confirmed their injuries were non-life-threatening. While the situation could have been far worse, the incident has still left the community shaken.
As investigators worked the scene, portions of the area—particularly along 62nd Avenue between Maryland and Citrus—were temporarily closed to allow for evidence collection and ensure public safety.
At this time, key details remain unclear. Police have not released the identities of the victims, and there is no confirmed information about what led up to the shooting or whether any suspects have been identified.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue working to piece together the circumstances behind the early morning violence.
