It is with deep sorrow that the community of Orange mourns the passing of Makyan Mickey, who died on April 24, 2026, at the age of 22. Their sudden and unexpected death has left family, friends, and loved ones grappling with a profound sense of loss.
Makyan is remembered for a vibrant spirit and the warmth they shared with everyone around them. Their presence brought light into many lives, and their memory continues to live on through the love they gave and the connections they built.
They are survived by their two children, Kamyire Mickey and Ja’Mariyon Coleman, along with numerous siblings and grandparents who now carry forward their legacy. The loss is deeply felt by those closest to them, as well as the wider community who are coming together to honor a life that, though brief, made a meaningful impact.
A visitation will be held on May 2, 2026, at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, offering family, friends, and community members a space to gather in remembrance and support. This will be followed by a funeral service where loved ones can pay their final respects and celebrate Makyan’s life.
